A doctor tells you the truth of how messed up the current medical system really is.

As a retired physician, I can honestly say that unless you are in a
serious accident, your best chance of living to a ripe old age is to
avoid doctors and hospitals and learn nutrition, herbal medicine and
other forms of natural medicine unless you are fortunate enough to have a naturopathic physician available. Almost all drugs are toxic and are designed only to treat symptoms and not to cure anyone. Vaccines are highly dangerous, have never been adequately studied or proven to be effective, and have a poor risk/reward ratio. Most surgery is unnecessary and most textbooks of medicine are inaccurate and deceptive. Almost every disease is said to be idiopathic (without known cause) or genetic - although this is untrue.

In almost every area except for treatment of acute trauma, mainstream medicine is a gigantic fraud. Why do I believe this? I practiced medicine for about 40 years in the areas of neurology and psychiatry. I also studied biochemistry for several years under a National Science Foundation fellowship. I saw people improve with better nutrition and healthier lifestyles, but not with the use of drugs. Treatments sanctioned by mainstream medicine such as drugs, surgery and radiation, target symptoms, not the underlying causes. In fact, not a single cure for a major degenerative disease has been accomplished in the past 100 years. Recent research on mitochondrial function shows that almost without exception, synthetic drugs are toxic to mitochondria and lead to impaired ATP synthesis, free radical formation, cytokine release with resultant chronic inflammation, tissue damage, chronic fatigue and degenerative disease. If you look carefully, you will see that Allopathic Medicine has systematically suppressed every cure for degenerative disease and particularly for cancer since the early part of the 20th century. In the case of cervical cancer, it has been known since about 1938 that abnormal PAP smears are associated with folic acid deficiency and that treatment with folic acid causes reversion of the PAP smear to normal. Withholding folic acid is known to cause progression to outright malignancy. Yet women with abnormal PAP smears are almost never prescribed folic acid. It has been known for many years that Vitamin D significantly reduces the risk and incidence of cancer as well as many other problems such as autoimmune disorders, heart disease and hypertension. Yet doctors in prestigious medical institutions regularly write articles advocating sun avoidance and the use of sun blockers, which are actually carcinogenic.

Prozac and other antidepressant drugs are regularly prescribed for depression although there is clear evidence that they increase the risk of suicide because long term use causes the depletion of serotonin in the CNS and blood platelets. Mercury is known to be highly toxic to the body and a vast body of scientific research confirms the toxicity of amalgam fillings (50% mercury), yet the American Dental Association persists in claiming that amalgams are safe and the AMA and related organizations support this position. It is known that toxic metals are responsible for 82% of degenerative diseases (WHO Report On Toxic Metals  Florence, Italy 1974) yet chelation is not taught in medical schools and state medical boards have systematically attempted to suppress its use. Most people in this country still have the expectation that their physician will have the ability to cure whatever ails them, but they are sadly mistaken. Although the vast majority of physicians are dedicated and conscientious, they lack the knowledge and training to cure any disease and because of the enormous pressures on their time, are unable to do the independent library research needed to find real solutions. Many are either brain-washed to believe they already have the answers or are intimidated by the medical establishment, which strongly discourages independent thinking.

The use of nutrients, herbs and a host of alternative treatments is much safer and generally more effective than main stream treatments, but their use is strongly condemned by the medical establishment. In short, our mainstream medical system is hopelessly inept and/or corrupt. The treatment of cancer and degenerative diseases is a national scandal. The sooner you learn this, the better off you will be.

The following are 20 signs that the health care industry in the United States has become all about making as much money as possible….

1 – Even as the rest of the U.S. economy deeply struggles, America’s health insurance companies increased their profits by 56 percent in 2009.

2 – According to a report by Health Care for America Now, America’s five biggest for-profit health insurers ended 2009 with a combined profit of $12.2 billion.

3 – The top executives at the five largest for-profit health insurance companies in the United States received nearly $200 million in total compensation in 2009.

4 – According to an article on the Mother Jones website, health insurance premiums for small employers in the United States increased 180% between 1999 and 2009.

5 – Health insurance premium increases are getting totally out of control. For example, the 39% increase in health insurance premiums that Anthem Blue Cross imposed on some California customers last year was so obscene that it made national headlines.

6 – Since 2003, health insurance companies have shelled out more than $42 million in state-level campaign contributions.

7 – There were more than two dozen pharmaceutical companies that made over a billion dollars in profits in 2008.

8 – Each year, tens of billions of dollars is spent on pharmaceutical marketing in the United States alone.

9 – Nearly half of all Americans now use prescription drugs on a regular basis according to a CDC report that was just released. According to the report, approximately one-third of all Americans use two or more pharmaceutical drugs, and more than ten percent of all Americans use five or more prescription drugs on a regular basis.

10 – According to the CDC, approximately three quarters of a million people a year are rushed to emergency rooms in the United States because of adverse reactions to pharmaceutical drugs.

11 – According to a very surprising new study, 85 percent of new pharmaceutical drugs are “lemons” and pose serious health risks to their users.

12 – The Food and Drug Administration reported 1,742 prescription drug recalls in 2009, which was a gigantic increase from 426 drug recalls in 2008.

13 – Shocking new research has found that expectant mothers taking antidepressants have an astounding 68 percent increase in the overall risk of miscarriage. Yet the pharmaceutical companies are essentially doing nothing to stop this.

14 – The use of psychiatric medications among 18 to 34 year old members of the U.S. military and their wives increased by 42 percent between 2005 and 2009.

15 – There are some disturbing new medical studies that suggest that many of the most popular anti-depressant drugs are no more effective than a placebo.

16 – Pharmaceutical companies continue to rake in billions of dollars from selling vaccines and are encouraging even pregnant women to take them, even though there is mounting evidence that taking vaccines while pregnant dramatically increases the rate of miscarriage.

17 – One woman in New Hampshire is seeking more than $24 million in damages from the manufacturer of a prescription drug that she took for shoulder pain. It turns out that as a result of taking the drug, she is now blind and has been left scarred by internal and external burns.

18 – According to one stunning new study, the medical liability system in the United States added approximately $55.6 billion to the cost of health care in 2008.

19 – Pharmaceutical companies have become so greedy that now they are even attempting to patent our genes. It is being reported that over three million gene patent applications have been filed with the U.S. government so far. Tens of thousands of gene patents have already been granted at this point. It is estimated that companies hold approximately 40,000 patents on sections of the human genome right now. Those patents cover approximately 20% of our genes.

20 – According to a recent report, Americans spend about twice as much as residents of other developed countries on health care, but get much lower quality and far less efficiency in return.

More examples of just how bad the sick care system is.
It is estimated that hospitals overcharge Americans by about 10 billion dollars every single year.

One trained medical billing advocate says that over 90 percent of the medical bills that she has audited contain “gross overcharges“.

One study found that approximately 41 percent of working age Americans either have medical bill problems or are currently paying off medical debt.

Between 2000 and 2006, wages in the United States increased by 3.8%, but health care premiums increased by 87%.

Health insurance premiums are once again soaring in 2011. Blue Shield of California recently announced plans to raise health insurance rates by an average of 30% to 35% this year, and some individual policy holders could actually see their health insurance premiums rise by a whopping 59 percent.

According to one doctor interviewed by Fox News, “a gunshot wound to the head, chest or abdomen” will cost $13,000 at his hospital the moment the victim comes in the door, and then there will be significant additional charges depending on how bad the wound is.

What the United States spent on health care in 2009 was greater than the entire GDP of Great Britain.

The United States spent 2.47 trillion dollars on health care in 2009. It is being projected that the U.S. will spend 4.5 trillion dollars on health care in 2019.

Over the past decade, health insurance premiums have risen three times faster than wages have in the United States.

Prescription drugs cost about 50% more in the United States than they do in other countries.

The percentage of women taking antidepressants in America is higher than in any other country in the world.

Back in 1965, only one out of every 50 Americans was on Medicaid. Today, one out of every 6 Americans is on Medicaid.

It is being projected that the federal government will account for more than 50 percent of all health care spending in 2012.

If the U.S. health care system was a country, it would be the 6th largest economy in the entire world.
